different stamp on Japan house?

Hi everyone, greetings from very chilly Vancouver BC. I've been busy working on some houses and came across this church with a stamp I hadn't seen before. It's small, only 2.5" wide and simple, no light hole in the back. Also it already has a chimney so not sure what the hole in the roof is for? Would the stamp saying "patent pending" mean it could be from the late 20's, when they started making the houses? Any help would be much appreciated as always. I enjoyed the pics of Linda's aunt's Christmas displays and have seen some of Brian's houses on ebay, beautiful. Hope everyone is well and having a Happy New Year. Thanks all.

I'm thinking it's part of a set of Nippon Light houses.

And the hole is for a c6 light bulb.

See the picture below. Looks like the middle one in the bottom row.

PutzinVT is correct. This is a light bulb house missing it's light bulb. The marking is just a different marking stamp. Previously they were Formulated as Nippon Patent pending which was the same thing and has NOTHING to do with it's date. Nippon Patent is nomenclature that is still used today to indicate Japanese patents. They are approximately the same age. Of note are the many different colors of printed gold windows on these little houses. Red of course is common but there is yellow as well as blue. I haven't seen Green or orange however such is possible. The windows and doors are completely different than any other houses that I know of. If you need a light bulb I would be glad to supply a recently made bubble lamp replacement lamp of the series C6 variety. Chances are the bulb burned out and someone pulled it through the roof.

Wow, you guys are amazing, it is the same house. I was going to cover the roof in old cotton I have from the 40's, to hide the hole. I'm pretty sure I have some old C-6 bulbs and a light string, so will try that 1st. Or I might insert a small bottle brush tree and decorate it, using the house as the base?? So many ideas, so little time. Thanks Tom and Steve, appreciate your time and help. Best wishes...Colleen

Actually the bulbs are much smaller than ordinary C-6 bulbs so I repeat my offer of a FREE bulb as used in bubble lights. This is what I replaced mine with when they were dead or die! TkH
