good afternoon... it's almost a new month...and time to start a new project...it's my version of the july 2001 house of the month on ted's site...mine will be somewhat smaller...and not an exact copy...the major pieces are shown on 1/4" grid squares...not sure of colors or finishes as of right now...i'll post pictures of the construction as the project comes together... just a short note regarding patterns for both houses and flatties...please feel free to use them...all that is asked is that you not use them for commercial purposes... my very best regards...howard...

good morning to all... here are the patterns for the four roofs along with images of the construction progress...i had to cut, fold and trim a couple of each roof to get the right fit...still have to add the trim around the foundation and the front step...the windows, base, fence and tree are next on the list...more pictures later... my very best regards...howard...

Coming along very nicely! Is the step cardboard or wood? |

greetings to all... it's been rather slow going this week on the barn house project...it's only been painted with two coats of bright white... base measures 4 1/2" x 7 1/4" x 3/4" thick...overall height, including base, is 4 1/2"... a blush of glitter and mica flakes will be added to the tree later...and it may be pruned a bit... still mulling over the colors...but i'm sure it will look brighter than the photo of the vintage house on ted's site... humidity, dust, sunlight and the acid in the cardboard have taken their toll to be sure... my very best regards...howard...

good morning to all... here's a quick pix of the two window panels...they have already been cut to fit the window openings...it's much easier to glue in just two pieces than all the individual windows...the procedure for making the window with red acetate and 1/32nd inch wide gold foil tape is here... http://www.cardboardchristmas.com/html/pinstriping_tape_windowframes.html my very best regards...howard...

Beautiful job as usual, Howard. And your flat figures set the scene perfectly! |
