Hello from Memphis!

Thank you for the "add." I am happy to be here. I found my way to this message board by way of researching how to make putz houses. I still have yet to make one, but I just love them and can't wait to get started! A couple of years ago, I bought a couple of cheap ceramic Christmas village houses and repainted them to look like Halloween houses. I was hooked and have repainted several of them. When I paint one, I make up a story about the house--who lives/lived there, how the house came to be. Now I want to create putz houses--this time for Christmas. I love crafting and sewing. I recently took up calligraphy. I either have numerous hobbies or just one big one, however you want to look at it. I am a medical writer by profession. I work full time and have a teenager at home, so I am quite busy. Finding time to myself is a bit of a struggle, and I treasure any time I can spend in my wonderful craft room.

I understand busy I am always looking for some time to get some putzing in.

You came to the right place to learn all about building putz houses, everyone here is so helpful and happy to offer any help.

Your story sounds much like mine. I fell in love with the houses and researched how to make them and knew that I had to be a part of this forum. It is a great place to learn about making little houses.

Welcome...I also joined not so long ago. I’m still getting things together to make my first putz house. I would love to see pictures of your painted Halloween houses!
