Kelly's Christmas Clockhouse

Post by Lucy »

I made a Christmas house for a friend of mine who recently had surgery. It's very similar to the Wilkin's House pattern (which took 7 prototypes). I have a few modifications I would like to make on the pattern so I'm going to make a Halloween version to test them out. The nice thing about Halloween houses is that if are crooked it looks like you designed it that way. Not true for Christmas houses.

Thank you, Lynn. I appreciate that you go to my blog. I try to be very honest about the challenges because some of this is not really easy.

And snow?? I think adding snow is a major CHALLENGE. It never looks like I want it to. I will continue to work on that.

Thank you, Debbie.

I think it's just a pretty thick layer of very fine glitter - Martha Stewart brand. I did the windows and the arch around the door the same way. The house itself is covered with a Ranger Grit Paste to give it a little more dimension.

These are so sweet. You have developed a distinctive style which makes your houses recognizable - a nice attribute.
