It has been such an eventful year and i’m just now trying to catch up with posts and all your wonderful projects. I only finished three 10 cent houses, so that project will have to move to next year. I did, however, find a very reasonable group of tiny houses on ebay, with only minor repairs needed. I’ve always loved those little houses with the small painted windows. So I added some bases and fixed broken trees, windows and doors, and re glittered the houses. I’m going to make a wreath after being inspired by the one Lucy made. Below are pics of the before and after repairs. Wreath to follow soon.

Laurie...
Great find to be sure...Add the reconditioning and the plans for the wreath and you’ll really have a one of a kind treasure...Those little ornaments would make a great series of projects...Why don’t you consider drawing plans for them in 2020 and posting them over several months? I for one would make them.

Laurie, what a beauty job you have done, they look like the just came off the shelf.
I have always liked the painted windows and cardboard trees. I second Howard I would love giving some of these a try.

Sooooooooooo well done!

Thanks friends. Howard, it never occured to me to try and make the patterns. But, with the encouragement from you and Lynn, I think I could do it. These houses are really small, and very basic so I’ll give them a try- at least the painted ones. I’ll have to research to see if there are more than two styles.
Re: Tiny houses (ornaments)
Laurie, those houses are adorable. You have really brought them back to life so beautifully. And your tree reproductions are perfect.
Patterns would be nice.

Re: Tiny houses (ornaments)
The tiny house wreath is finished. Since we are in the middle of a major house remodel, this will be the only ‘village’ I’m displaying this year. In fact, it’s hanging on the unfinished, but new drywall. I bought a $3.00 wreath at a garage sale, lightly painted it and applied a light coat of glitter. Since these were old ‘Made in Japan’ houses I didn’t want to glue them on, so I wired each one in. Then I glittered a few vintage trees and glued them onto the tree. It was a fun project.

Laurie, what a beautiful wreath!! You did a great job.
I love the idea of placing these smaller houses in different settings. I added my 10 cent city houses on my tree and I really like how they look, giving me inspiration to make more.
