REPLACING DOORS & WINDOWS WHEN YOU THINK IT'S IMPOSSIBLE!

Post by Pete R.Oehmen »

Hello fellow enthusiasts. I hope everyone is safe and well. Crazy times we find ourselves in right now. Maybe one small good thing that comes out of this is we may have a little extra time on our hands. I developed this method quite a while back. I think maybe Lucy once asked me what I do when I have to replace a door or window and it's darn near impossible because you can't get into the spot that needs to be gotten to! WHEW, that's not a good sentence. LOL Anyway, I call this method "The Super Secret Way". This is work sheet #5. I'll post the other helpful tips when I find time. Hope this helps.

Pete...I knew you were "up to something"...your silence on the forum was just a tip off...boy, was i right!...this method of replacing doors and windows is absolutely genius...

Are you sure you didn't make stringed instrument repairs in another life?...why do i ask?...well, a similar technique, with thread, has been used to hold top and back braces, which have come unglued inside guitars, back into place while new attachment glue dries...

thanks so much for sharing this invaluable tip...and also "off with their heads"...guess they are not a "super secret way" now!...

my very best regards...

howard...

Great tip, Pete. Just now got a chance to look at it. This would work for a lot of different kind of repairs.
