WONDERFUL UTILITY BUILDING CLOCK TOWER REPRODUCTION

If you have an unusual piece that you have questions about, this is the place to post them. Photos are VERY welcome, though it helps if you reduce them to 800 wide before you upload them. If you can't reduce them yourself, post them anyway and I'll try to reduce them when I have time.

WONDERFUL UTILITY BUILDING CLOCK TOWER REPRODUCTION

Post by Pete R.Oehmen »

Great craftsmanship, a faithful reproduction. I might have missed this Ebay auction if I hadn't had six avid putz house collector's contact me and wanted to know the scoop? I didn't know what they were talking about until I read the description! Very curious... just saying. https://www.ebay.com/itm/124261715210?ul_noapp=true

Hey Pete, this is mine. I'm just curious what you mean by "the scoop"? Also what is piquing your curiosity?

Leben, you are truly a master of our craft sir. I hope to be as good as you someday in your exquisite emulation of the famous, but rare red clock tower. I saw it too on Ebay. I hope you get a pretty penny for all of the work you put into it, you deserve it! I am so thrilled to know that there are "others" like ourselves out there that have a love of reproducing the vintage pieces. I too make my own textures, windows, and doors as well and it's a joy when I can make a putz house look like its original counterpart. More power to you friend and I hope to see more of your creations here soon.

Thank you so much Clinton. I had a lot of fun making this one. This is actually the first house I have made from scratch. Prior to this I have only ever made replacement parts, pieces, and refurbished old houses. This whole pandemic has given me much more free time than I had before so I decided to try my hand at reproducing a clock tower. I don't know how much it will sell for. Maybe just 99¢ :p But I really just had fun making it and hope someone appreciates it. I did make the coconut myself, using materials and techniques that are not mentioned anywhere on this forum. And I'm pretty proud of it. So thank you for the support. Much appreciated!

Well a big thanks back at you friend! For a 1st try out, you're work is incredible to say the least. I will have to bow to the knee and admit that your version of coconut is the very BEST I've ever seen! Kudos again to you sir and may you find joy in every build you do. :)
