Another Dolly

Here's a place to post patterns you want to share, link to patterns you find elsewhere on the internet, and request particular kinds of patterns you're looking for. I've moved a few existing messages here to get the forum started.

Another Dolly

Post by Lee »

Good morning everyone,
One of my latest builds is a reproduction of a Dolly Toy Company house from the 1930’s or 40’s. The house was cardboard with printed details and was beyond repair. It was disintegrating in my hands. I made measurements and created a pattern. I think it turned out rather well.
I also reduced the pattern so it would fit on a 2X4 inch base. You can see them side by side. I also reproduced a Dolly Toy Company base for the larger one using vintage corner brads from another Dolly Toy house that was coming apart.

These are GREAT!! I actually started recreated the graphic on this house a few years ago to make a printie/repro version in the 3 colors I've seen it in. I almost have it done, hopefully someday I'll be able to finish the project. Its so wonderful to see both of your versions, the pink and purple on looks like candy you could eat!!!

Hi Howard,
I will certainly let everyone know if I ever find a source for the Dolly corner staples.
