North Pole Village - My 2021 Project

Here's a place to post patterns you want to share, link to patterns you find elsewhere on the internet, and request particular kinds of patterns you're looking for. I've moved a few existing messages here to get the forum started.

Steven and all...

I figured I'd better get started on my build of the Santa Workshop to keep up with Lee, Barb and all the rest of the builders!...mine is still a work in progress...I did change the window openings...and plan to add two chimneys and wreaths the peaks on the left and right...stay tuned...

I went in another direction with Steve's wonderful pattern, which I must say was so easy to work with and assemble. I have a little friend on the street who is mad for village houses and especially those laden with glitter, so I made her a Valentine house. Thanks so much Steve, I am going to make a Santa Workshop version and I'm looking forward to your next pattern! Almost forgot, I loved the windows that Lee did on his version so I was very inspired by his work, too!

Update from Howard...1/29/2021...

My version of the Santa's Workshop that Steven designed is finished...you may notice I added two chimneys, modified the front window openings and changed the front door to a traditional printed paper one and recessed it in an arch...the window mullions are hand-cut card stock painted with metallic gold craft paint...extra-fine colored glitter was used on all the surfaces except the big white areas of the snow base...I used craft store crystal glitter on that...the fully glittered trees are Walmart items...I just had to make them a little shorter...the wreaths are craft store items...

My very best regards...

Howard...

Howard I love what you've done with this! Particularly like the recessed doorway and the handcut window mullions. I just printed up the pattern in the "SVG" file and it's a nice, smaller size. Going to try my hand at the smaller version and maybe you won't mind if I use your recessed doorway idea. Love it!
