Couple shopping "flattie" inspired by vintage Christmas card

What kind of figures have been used with cardboard Christmas houses and villages, where do you get appropriate figures today, how do you make, prepair, repair or otherwise maintain figures?

Couple shopping "flattie" inspired by vintage Christmas card

Post by Howard »

Greetings to all...

First picture...found this vintage Christmas card image on Pinterest...and it was the inspiration for another "flattie"...

Second picture...shows the parts cut out and ready for primer, paint and assembly...the base, lady and man will be painted and detailed individually and then assembled with super glue...this makes the painting steps a lot easier...after all three painted parts are assembled into one piece will the glass glitter be applied to the base...

The pattern for the parts is in the PDF below the second picture...

I'll post a picture of the completed "flattie" in a few days...stay tuned...

Howard...

Update...September 8, 2021...

Finished!...just a few notes...the packages, his right arm and both hands and her hand warmer muff are bits of colored paper...lots easier than painting...

now...I'm off to find another "flattie" or two to build...
