MORE HACIENDAS
Re: MORE HACIENDAS
This is on the small size of standard at 5 1/2" long and 4" tall Hacienda. It has sort of a Planter/Balcony over an arched entrance and notice the long legged Santa will need them to step up to the high rise door. Lovely mix of both air brush on the house and hand painted roof and fence and base.

Re: MORE HACIENDAS
And one more for today. I don't like to submit photos I haven't taken however I bought this house off of eBay and this is the only photo I have. I have a few more houses (all Haciendas) with cardoard trees. This is one style of tree and the other has more pointed branches however there could be other style trees. This is one of the standard sized houses and is 6" long and 4 1/4" high. Love the hand painted features of this Hacienda cottage.

Re: MORE HACIENDAS
Howard, I believe Tom has reproduced those "Santa" windows. Tom????
Re: MORE HACIENDAS
Yes I was able to remove one from a house when I bought a boxed set of these and scan it and my sister tweaked it a bit and printed it on some onion skin type paper. I have a few left but the program is gone now so cannot do anymore. I am selling them on eBay 2 at a time. bullcitytrader is my auction site name. Tom

Surely. The auction number is; 350527711911 I also posted a picture of a house that Ted had on line as an example of the window cut out opening. It is larger and distinctive than any other. Tom
Re: MORE HACIENDAS
This is one of my fovorite Haciendas and has a lot of different features - all on one building! First of all is the painting which combines about all the decorative techniques that one sees on these. It is airbrushed (and at an angle the spraying high lights the textural elements), Then It is hand painted on fence and roof using a Japanese caligraphy brush, with wet on wet technique on the base ande finally an overcasting of white thick paint to represent patches of snow(?). The overall effect is stunning.
Architectural features of note are the addition of a corner block attachment to the chimney that is additionally an offset one. The front porch with it's X cut out's is nice and the dormer tops it off nicely. The loopy fence completes the presentation. And the little porcelain Santa welcomes us in. This is a good sized house measuring 7" x 4 1/4" base and is 5" high.

Re: MORE HACIENDAS
It is time you were introduced to a variation of the Haciendas that I call the Pastel Haciendas. Frequently these have coconut on their roofs and sometimes even the bases may be covered with coconut. Nevertheless the designs are ones that you can find in both the more convential paintings of haciendas and in these pastel versions. This particular house uses the conventional fine glass glitter in its finish and is a large one and has a 7 1/4" X 4 1/4" base and is 5" high. It has an unusual sort of tree that is a cardboard tree glued to some part of the house or fence. Notice the Hacienda style fence. Though the most of the bottom of the base was missing except for a couple of the boarders of the box and all but the left side of the fence it was neverthe less this mint green standard type of hacienda base. The Santa is one I made to replace the missing one.
