Crushed Shells

Earlier this week, some forum members were exchanging e-mails regarding “crushed shells” for restoring and making putzes…the terms “calcium substrate” and “pet supply” were mentioned…

This prompted me to visit my local pet shop…sure enough…there it was in the reptile bedding department…clean, sanitized and nicely crushed shells…white, natural, a soft brown, soft rose and soft medium green…

I also did a quick google search…it looks like other colors are available…the product could also be sifted to remove any extra large pieces…

I haven’t bought any yet but probably will…if I can find small bags…l-lb or less…going to look at what the flea market has to offer…

i just returned from "wally world" (wal-mart)...they had a 5-lb. bag of "natural color" for less than $7.00...when/if i find in 1-lb. size i will advise...
