I've been a lurker here for a decade-plus; finally got around to asking for, and graciously receiving, a membership. I'm a toy train guy first and foremost, but have a deep appreciation for the "crafting" that goes into creating a wonderful holiday display. I hope I can add just a small bit as compared to the vast amount I've received from this place.
From north-central Maryland, thanks for having me.

Re: New member here
Welcome, Paul.
For the rest of you, this Paul R. has a totally different last name from the Paul R. that is holding this site together with bailing wire and twine.
That's why he's using a different member name.
Paul, a lot of folks use trains with their towns. That's why we have a section for "Electric Train Questions."

Re: New member here
Thanks for the warm welcome, Paul. I wondered if a signature of Paul R. might cause confusion, lol. Certainly appreciate all of your efforts at keeping this place going while adding me to the member list.
I'll be glad to post updates or answer questions in the electric train topic if I can, and I'll certainly make every effort not to "swamp the boat" with posts!

Hello!
New member here from Cape Breton Island, which is part of Nova Scotia Canada.
Adter seeing all the inspiration here, I can't wait to attempt to create my own Putz village. My parents had one when I was small and I always loved them.
I'll be sharing my progress. Wish me luck!
