Re: a little "victorian jewel"...
there's a house very similar to this one in a neary town--done in lime green, purple and ivory--quite the color scheme!
Re: a little "victorian jewel"...
Love the trim work.
Cool..
Cool..
Re: a little "victorian jewel"...
GREAT start, Howard. How do you come up with this stuff?
Re: a little "victorian jewel"...
The architecture on that house is A-MAZ-ING!!!! Can't wait to see the finished product!
Re: a little "victorian jewel"...
greetings...two coats of white primer added...needs another because glue is still causing the primer to crackle...

Re: a little "victorian jewel"...
Looking good, Howard! It's neat to see the houses in a coat of primer! What kind of glue do you use?
Re: a little "victorian jewel"...
brian...regarding glues i use...
aleene's original tacky glue for building...usually buy at walmart...best price i have found...
hobby lobby brand white glue for mica and glitter application...very inexpensive...even better with a 40% off coupon...
elmer's glue sticks...the disappearing purple kind...for covering bases with bond paper...
keep some 2-part epoxy cement on hand, too...

Re: a little "victorian jewel"...
Thanks for sharing Howard! I pretty much have the same arsenal of glue with the hobby lobby brand, I'll have to see if I can find some of that and try it out. I may try some of the fast drying Aleene's on a house one of these days, I seem to spend time paper clipping stuff together and blowing on it alot. I used it on a tiki lamp I built and it worked great for holding down the fabric.
Re: a little "victorian jewel"...
thought i'd post the color pallet for the house...wish me luck...lots of detail painting ahead...and waiting for things to dry...
