Hope everybody is having a pleasant fall evening!
Just got the main construction done on a repro of the Three Door w/ Balcony May 2000 Hom on Papa Ted's site. I've been big fan of this house for sometime, and am super excited to use the little girl figure I just finished up!

Re: Three Door w/Balcony May 2000 HOM
Thanks Howard! This one seemed to be a little easier construction wise since the main body of the house is fairly standard. However....I REALLY want a punch for the slotted fence and balcony, my hand doesn't like me when I get done making all those cuts.
I got the primer on the house after lunch today. I'm making a few batches of coco right now. The white coco has to air dry or atleast how I make it, so I have about 2-3 days to wait. I did notice it is drying faster since the heat has been coming on inside the house. I placed it fairly close to a register but far enough away it wont blow all over. In the meantime I'm going to do the sand parts on the balcony and the yellow coco, which I still have plenty of.
Carving a cat in a Pumpkin for my daughter tonight. Hope everybody has a very HAPPY HALLOWEEN tomorrow!!!

Lookin' good, Brian!
Re: Three Door w/Balcony May 2000 HOM
Thanks Paul, and Good Morning to All!
I just finished my latest house. This one has a lot going on, but I think one my favorite part on this one after completing it are the crooked trees. I always kind of liked that about the original, but seeing it next to all the others I've finished it makes it your eye stop and stare a bit longer.
Hope everybody has a wonderful Sunday!

"speedy"...(that's brian's new nickname)...
congratulations on another A++ project...yes...i really like the crooked trees, too...not to mention the vibrant colors...
i totally agree with recent tom's post regarding the square pillar mansion...it's just like stepping back 70+ years into the 5 and 10 cent store...he's also right that ted would be more than pleased...
ok, "speedy"...what the next project?...a "loggie" i hope...
my very best regards...howard...

Another Great one.
Love the Girl figure.
And the coating really make it look vintage.
But way brighter. Like they were when new.
awesome Repro.

Thank so much Paul, Steve, and Howard!
It would have been awesome to see some originals in a store new, I could only imagine! Makes me wonder if there is a photo of a store display out there waiting to be unearthed.....
I like Speedy, but I'm not feeling very "Speedy" today. I hurt my foot at the gym a few weeks ago so I've had a bit of a limp, and then I helped a friend assemble some new cabinets for their kitchen and stretched just about every muscle in my upper legs and rear. May need to take some recovery time...
I do have a couple loggies in mind, I'm still trying to decide which one. I also have another full coco in mind that I started a pattern for. So I may do it first while I'm making my mind up on the loggie. I'm thinking about screen printing on some chipboard the raised brick pattern that was on some of the chimneys. I remember Howard did one with the raised brick look and it was really neat. I have another loggie in mind that has the normal chimney, so I may try my hand at it first just to see what goes into making a loggie. But a loggie will definitely be one of the next ones for sure.

Hi Brian, the house is great, I really like the balcony, but the little girl with her doll just steals my heart away!
