bisque figures Question

What kind of figures have been used with cardboard Christmas houses and villages, where do you get appropriate figures today, how do you make, prepair, repair or otherwise maintain figures?

bisque figures Question

Post by PutzinVT »

So I been watching Papa Teds house auctions going on, on Ebay.
It is also an amazing resource for photos.

I did have a question for those collectors in the know.
I'm looking at making a pictorial reference of bisque figures that one can find that came on
the bigger houses.

Esp. with the amount of photos w/ the Ted auctions, I've seen more figures than I know existed.

I was wondering if someone could compile a quick list so I have something to search for when I
looking for pictures.

On a side note. Cast my first figure from an old paint faded one.
Turned out pretty good. I was hoping to win one of the auctions that had 3 different figures in it.
But the price got too rich for me. :-(

Thanks for the help.

Awesome Steve, cant wait to see your cast. I recently won a small Hacienda with a Priest on it, got lucky won it for $6, Im going to try and mold him very soon.
I noticed on that recent auction of Haciendas there are a TON of figures I never knew about. Great Idea on pic gallery, I was thinking about doing the same with the paper doors.
Off the top of my head...
Snowman Frowny Face
Little girl w/dolly ear muffs
Green lady, some times white
little boy
santa with green sack of toys
Priest
Bald Priest
Santa on bench
Sneaky Santa
Santa with raindeer
Santa on Skis
Santa with brown sack of toys
Little boy with squarish hat
Black Santa
bulldog
cat
I'll try to think of some more :)

Did anybody ever make a figure gallery?? Steve? Maria? If not maybe I can help! I'd still love to see it!!

There are a few I'd love to see if we can get Pete to offer he doesn't currently have for sale.

If anybody has the little boy with pointy square cap and jacket that we can let Pete borrow to get a casting off of...he's really nailed the molding/casting process! I know most people don't have loose figures or ones they be willing to take off of a house and this one is kind of rare.... but just putting it out there!

Thanks
-Brian
