I am starting to build a set of nippon light houses.
These are the ones that have a built in old style 6c light in them.
I'm planning on building a power supply to run them. As the old C6 light strings were wired in series and you needed
all of them for them all to light.
With the power supply setup I can run 1 or all of them at once.
I am currently looking for a set of the c6 (E10) sockets.
I figured there would be a reproduction C6 light string out there. But so far searches have come up blank.
I can fins the bare sockets but not the style with the wires coming out the back with a insulator base like as in a light string.

Re: C6 light string
steve...
i am sure there are other ways to make a string of old style lamp sockets that will suit your needs...
but here's one you might try...see the pix for all the details...
note...paul published a piece recently about salvaging wire from strings of light...i'll post a link to it as soon as i find it...
or he may find it quicker than i will and post it...
the salvaged wire might be heavy enough to carry the voltage...but i'm not quite sure though...
i'm pretty sure that the dollar store has markers that will work for the socket bodies...
and radio shack store are everywhere...
by the way...i never see the old 8-light "noma style" strings at garage sales or thrift stores...
they might be a fire hazard due the the age and condition of the wire and socket insulation...i keep looking year 'round...
