good afternoon...

i've been doing a little priming and painting on the house body and porch...

the roofs will be charcoal gray...the chimney will be a brick color...

base is finished...except for mica and glitter...gave the snow area a light blush of sky blue to contrast with the white fence...

i'll post pix of the windows, black shutters and white window frames later...

good afternoon...

i've been working on the windows, frames and shutters...

the frames are white cards stock...the shutter are black scrap booking paper...

the windows are the usual red acetate with the 1/32nd inch wide gold tape mullions...

although there are over 20 windows and one door, i only have to glue in nine pieces of white poster board...

final painting on the house will be done soon...more pix later...

all painting on the house, porch, dormer roofs and base is complete...

i have also added a band of gray scrapbook paper to represent a stone foundation around the house...

mica flakes and glitter are next...then final assembly, landscape and finishing details...

see, "PutzinVt"...there was going to be something on the porch...here there are...

here's a link to the supplier...

i glue a wire staple, made out of a small paperclip, up inside the chair after assembly...

this wire serves as a painting handle...

the chairs will be painted yellow for contrast with the house, shutters, porch floor and trim...

after the paint dries...i'll cut the wires...leaving about 1/2" sticking past the rockers...

there will be small holes in the porch floor to receive the wires...epoxy cement will hold them in place...

perhaps i'll have the house completed by later today or tomorrow...
