Making a "loggers at work" cardboard "flattie"...

What kind of figures have been used with cardboard Christmas houses and villages, where do you get appropriate figures today, how do you make, prepair, repair or otherwise maintain figures?

Making a "loggers at work" cardboard "flattie"...

Post by Howard »

good afternoon to all...

i'm getting closer to my goal of making a dozen "flatties" for my village...i'll let the pictures tell the story...

(btw...the "flattie" after this one will probably be a "coal merchant"...got the idea from a british model railroading figurine site)...

my very best regards...howard...

slow going...my own fault on the final finish coat..."gray primer spray" is not the same as "clear gloss spray"...

but the spray cans looked so much alike...had to start this one over again...

good morning to all...

i'm finished with the "loggers at work flattie"...but it looks like they'll always be cutting wool...

i know the "clothing style" on this piece is not as "victorian" as most flatties...but it will have to do for now... :D

perhaps ones in the future will look a little different...

howard...

Looks great, Howard. Are you saying the primer destroyed your cardboard? :-(
