Hello from Debbie W

If you would like to let the rest of us know a bit about you, especially if you have any special skills or knowledge that the rest of the group might be able to draw on, that would be good. Also, if you have a blog or other web resource that's related to what we do here. . .

Hello from Debbie W

Post by debquilts »

Hello everyone, I am new to the forum. My mother gave me some cardboard houses that she cannot display because of the cats. I just love these little works of art and wanted more. I found Howard's site right after Christmas and immediately made my first three glitter houses. Now I am addicted. I spent many a night surfing the internet and looking at pins on Pinterest. Then I found this forum. Wow, what a resource, I decided I wanted to be part of this group. While waiting to be approved, I readEVERY post and I have started to quote and refer to each of you by first name as though we are personal friends. I have a huge list of houses and ornaments, gifts that I want to make. Different colors, different themes and decorations. So much fun.
I recently purchased a Circut Explore and I have been using their Ribbons and Rosettes design set to cut some fences. I just got my standard grip mat today. (it was missing from the original packaging) and I am about to test Paul's SVG windows on some lighter weight material. I'll keep you posted.
You can see my first 3 houses and the fences here: https://picasaweb.google.com/1140906961 ... 9690364226
Thanks for letting me be part of the group.

Good morning...and welcome...you're among friends on this forum...

I for one would like to know more about your experiences with the new cutter...

especially if it will handle cereal box and writing tablet back weight cardboard...
