Usually we see these in the fall Extravaganza, as there tends to be more Christmas stuff there.
The first "set" we saw was mismatched, with one of the houses being a decade or three older than the rest:
The house with the partial fence and dark glitter had a hole large enough for a C6 bulb.
It was the only house with markings, the word Japan stamped/smeared on the bottom.

Re: More putz spottings at the Springfield Extravaganza
Here's another set. The one in the middle does not belong. The brick pattern on the base of the others is raised, but what caught my attention at first was the snow pattern on the roof of one building. Guessing they're 1960s based on the small light hole? Never saw these before, but I'm not exactly Pete.
The bottom was marked with a CLEAR STICKER saying Japan and showing a Tulip. Is that a Blumen icon possibly?

Paul can you give me a close-up of the label symbol--thanks
Re: More putz spottings at the Springfield Extravaganza
Maria, Sorry, this is the biggest I can make it without turning it into Jaggies.
Re: More putz spottings at the Springfield Extravaganza
That symbol is for the BLUME co. of NY (hence the tulip "bloom") which was a post war importing company. I believe Blume is German surname meaning bloom.
Re: More putz spottings at the Springfield Extravaganza
Thanks, Tom, that was my guess. Have you seen the ones with the raise brick around the base and the "snow" in even spots on the roof?
BTW, the "Raised brick" was more like a molded plaster or a heavy layer of chalky paint. It had completely powdered off of some of them.

I have but never really went for them as they are fairly late - probably 1960's or even a bit later? I think I may have had one once and I agree the pattern was silkscreened on.
