Re: Building "UPTON HALL ABBEY"...
I wanted to ask you how did you apply the sand?
Re: Building "UPTON HALL ABBEY"...
doing something a little different this time...i'm sprinkling on the sand (actually it's birdcage gravel) over white glue...(just like applying glitter or mica flakes)...however...i'm applying the sand/glue directly onto the raw cardboard...then adding the primer and paint...the primer and finish coats of paint really seal the sand to the surface...and i don't notice as many (if any) granules flaking off...Howard...Lynn wrote:I wanted to ask you how did you apply the sand?

Re: Building "UPTON HALL ABBEY"...
Good thinking Howard anything to stop the finishing product from flaking off.
Re: Building "UPTON HALL ABBEY"...
good afternoon to all...
after many, many hours..."Upton Hall Abbey" is finished...i'll let the pictures tell the story...except for a couple of notes...
i want to add a flag of some kind to the top of the center tower...may add a pair of black iron wall lamps by the front door...
you can't see the roof in these pictures...but it's a very dark green...
now...it's time to take a few days off before starting another project...much smaller and simpler of course...
my very best regards...howard...
