1941 Dolly Village completed with Santa

Post by Laurie »

I finished my Dolly Santa and sleigh to make my village complete. After copying Santa I hand drew and cut out the sleigh and reindeer. They have 5 coats of white acrylic paint and I finished them with my ground mica, like the houses. I sort of posed them like the catalogue ad (enclosed). It was rather time consuming, but a fun project.

Laurie...

I'm with Lynn and Will!...truly a wonderful set...Your houses arranged like the vintage catalog ad is an "inspired touch"...

Do you have any new projects in the works?...perhaps you could give us a sneak peek...

My very best regards...Howard...

I like how you set up the photo like the vintage ad.

Much thanks for putting the patterns out there for the rest of us.

Thanks everyone, for the kind comments. Howard, I wish I could give you a sneak peak, but alas, nothing is in the works at the moment. When current projects are done and the heat of summer draws me back inside, I might like to try making a lackie. We shall see.

I just love this - the entire Dolly village with Santa arranged like the vintage advertisement. Wonderful, just like everyone said.
