Now here’s an interesting product that might actually have some application for those who make their own putz houses– Washi tapes – made in Japan of course – low tack rice paper tape in some very interesting colors and some very interesting patterns – some would make great “fence” designs OR adding perhaps architectural elements to putz houses – click on the link to see some of what’s available – because it’s low tack however, we imagine some extra glue might be necessary—and some experimentation perhaps to see what glues would work well with rice paper http://www.etsy.com/shop/DiscountCharms ... hop_search
And here’s a more detailed description of what the product actually is http://www.omiyageblogs.ca/2011/11/what ... -tape.html

This forum is a place for our readers to pass on things they've figured out that will help other readers. Several folks who are experienced in building, collecting, and displaying putz houses stop by frequently, so check back for new ideas, and add some yourself. Any suggestions you have, things you've learned that you'd like to pass on, weird problems you need help with, all are welcome here. - Paul
