Making "Mr. Stump"...the wood chopper "flattie"...

What kind of figures have been used with cardboard Christmas houses and villages, where do you get appropriate figures today, how do you make, prepair, repair or otherwise maintain figures?

Making "Mr. Stump"...the wood chopper "flattie"...

Post by Howard »

greetings to all...

yes...another "flattie"...this one was inspired by a vintage piece is saw on the internet...and knew i had to make one...

note that some pieces glue on the front or behind other pieces...this will help add more depth and shadows...

i'll probably add some more layering details like i always do...it's part of the composing process as i work...

progress pictures and details later...

my very best regards...

howard...

Howard did I miss the finished Mr. & Mrs. Smith, or have you another project before that one is done. Trying to keep up, here!

This guy has me so worried he going to chop off his thumb!! But I love it!! :) Great idea, I have a vintage metal Manoil woodchopper and he is always a favorite in my village. I also have a metal boy holding holding wood next to him...might be a good companion piece...wink wink nudge nudge :)

Wow! I looked at some of your other flatties and am most impressed. I couldn't cut things that finely detailed if my life depended on it. Can't wait to see the final piece.
