Hi everyone!

If you would like to let the rest of us know a bit about you, especially if you have any special skills or knowledge that the rest of the group might be able to draw on, that would be good. Also, if you have a blog or other web resource that's related to what we do here. . .

Thank you all so much, it really is a lot of fun to make these, addictive! I tried my hand at some of Howard's flatties but I'm not as good as he is so I've added a few of the lead ones you can find on ebay. Antoinette's village is awesome, isn't it? Plus I look forward to her new story each year.

Yes Howard, It's fabric over foamcore board. I found the fabric last year at JoAnn's, right around Thanksgiving time. I believe it'll be back, there wasn't much left on the bolt. It'll be in the with the quilting fabrics.

DCrowe, I actually do have a car and a little truck AND (thanks to Howard again) a service station! I will have to pick your brains on painting them - took forever to find a chevelle and it's the wrong color.

Hello April! Welcome. I've only been a member here for a few months, but like you I lurked for a year or more. :) Everyone here is so nice and helpful.
I love your houses - and the fence on the yellow cottage, and the images in the windows. Your village is coming along nicely. I love that background you have in the photo - its so dramatic. Oh, and I sew, too! ;)

Hi April, I also collect the lead flatties. Sometimes you can find them on Estyflattie.

Happy hunting!
