Howdy, nothing too fancy, just mixed black sand with white sand...well its the stuff a little chunkier than sand. 10 to 1 ratio, heavier on the white, a little black goes a lllloooooooonnnngggg way. :) Then applied with Aleene's tacky glue, and standard flocking method.

P.S. Been loving everybody's contributions, been lurking the forum when I can. Hoping to get back to building some houses but probably wont be till after Christmas, got to finish another big project I'm working on. But I'm living vicariously through everybody elses contributions, thanks for all your photos!!! :)

Thanks, hope everyone has been well!

Thanks so much Brian! Will do it that way. "Standard flocking method?" is that just using a sifter with the sand in it over your house sir? Thanks again sir! :)

No prob! A sifter, thats a good idea, prob turn out better than what I do that way....more consistent. I just apply the glue, then get my biggest bowl, set house inside, and sprinkle on sand with my fingers, then pick up stuff that falls off and sprinkle on again making sure all areas are covered. Then I give it a good shake to get rid of loose stuff and see if I need to reapply anywhere.
