Here's another of my series of candy jar top house.
It's based on one of Howards Spooky town houses.

Added a bit of my own flair.

Well to answer a few questions.

The leaves are a product called "Flower Soft"
A bit pricey, but a little goes along way.
The type I used was call Autumn.

I have made 5 total Jar toppers.

A standard house
A church
A Easter Jelly bean factory house
A 4 of July flag house
A Halloween house (The one picture above)

I think I posted pictures of all of them to the forum at one time or another.

As for anything new, nothing as of right now. Supposed to snow this weekend.
Just a flurry, but it starts to get me in the mood to make some more houses.

The flower soft looks like a wonderful product!! I have been using sawdust for the bases on my Halloween houses thanks to Howard’s great idea, but the darker colors of the flower soft may work out nicely as well. I just love how everyone shares their wonderful ideas.

Wonderful job, Vermont. I've made a bunch of little houses based on your original posting, which I intend to give as gifts this Christmas, once I figure out the best way to attach them to the jar lids. Any trial-and-error suggestions?

Hard to see in the picture.

Using a circle cutter, I cut out a circle of foam core board.
I then glue it down to the jar lid top. Using lots of glue.

Oh, I previously had glued the jar lid to the ring.

The ribbon has two purposes. It decorates the jar a bit. But more important it hides the seam made of the foam core board glued to the lid top.
