greetings and happy new year to all...

what a better time ...(for me anyway,

)...than to start a new "flattie" project...i won't burden you with the construction details since these have been posted previously in around two dozen topics on making "flatties"...but here's a link to the first "flattie" i made...https://www.cardboardchristmas.com/foru ... f=14&t=782

this new one was inspired by the very ornate vintage pewter piece OKPat posted that was part of her house display this past Christmas...go here and scroll down...

mine is not an exact copy...but does borrow the three basic elements...santa, sleigh and caribou/reindeer...the hardest part of the project was making the tiny twisted wire antlers and painting the caribou/deer to look sort of realistic...progress pictures and an image of the completed piece will follow...

Howard,
This flattie is wonderful as they all are. The twisted wire antlers do look like a challenge. As always, I think I speak for others, we are eagerly awaiting the final product.

all finished...i added two coats of high gloss clear minwax polyacrylic finish and glass glitter to the base after painting all the details...
