Pete,
I think a standard set of 5-6 dies would be nice including 2-3 windows, 2-3 doors (with the lovely arch top door). The sizes of this "Standard set" should fit your most commonly used windows and door inserts. I think $10-15 sounds like a good starting price for the set. Does that sound fair to you?

Special dies depending on size $3-4 per die. Then I could order my candy corn die to make windows for the candy corn halloween house as Paul suggested.

I've bought a lot of stuff from scrapbooking sites and the dies they call "thinlits" or simple steel dies cost $5 for a very small one to $20 which is really too much.

A die for the gothic arched windows would be great too!

Outstanding. I looked at the leather punches too and they ARE cheap though many are not particularly useful the small oval punches look like some of those in the fences. Looks like we can set up production any day now! Pete do you want to head up a modern day haus mauler sweat shop? LOL Uncle Tom

All I can say is "Wow"! These sound great. I agree with Lucy that a small set for $10-$15 sounds great. Of course, I really don't know what goes into making them. I'm definitely interested though.

Hello Will, it looks like my tool and die guy wants $25 each. These can be made to an size you want. I will not be making any money off of these I'm doing this for the hobby. Let me know what what you think. Do you still want a set?

Just so everyone understands these dies are custom made, one at a time. These are not going to be MASS PRODUCED. When a produce is massed produced you can sell them for $2 and still make a profit. There are not enough people in our hobby to warrant the demand for mass production. Each of these dies takes a talented craftsman over 2 hours to make one. At the suggested $3 each that means he'd be making $1.50 an hour. Guess what... he's not going to do that. I was just trying to save us some time and blisters. If you're going to make one house a year you don't need these. If you're going to make 50 houses you may want to consider these a a valid tool. Hope that clears up where I'm coming from?

Thanks Pete. I appreciate all the hard work that goes into making these. I really do. Alas, I simply cannot afford them with the amount of houses I make unfortunately. I know others will appreciate them though.
