Hi Laurie thanks so much, and thanks for all the great info. Would you say there is a big difference between the originals and mine with the mica?

Lynn, the biggest difference I see is that yours is much nicer. Your mica is not as fine as the coating on the original houses. I would be glad to send you one of the two houses that I have that are the same. It doesn't have a base and is the red version of the house you made. I really don't have a use for it - it's not worth restoring and was an extra with the clock school that I bought. Let me know if you'd like it and how to send it to you.

Here is my second house. The base measures 3 X 5 ½ inches and 3 ½ tall.

Your 2nd house turned out great Lynn. What a nice village they will make. Can't wait to see the set all together.

Here is the three peaks Dolly house. You don’t see too many green Dolly houses in this collection. The base on this one is all white and I added some snow-tex. This house stands 3 1/2 inches high. The base is 7 inches by 3 inches. I am trying to get the measurements as close as possible from the pictures but I know that some of the bases are bit off. Shortly I will be posting my patterns as well as the doors and windows

looking good...really good...the mica flakes and snow-tex are the "icing on the cake"!...gotta love those dual trees, too...
