brian...the door opening measures 1/2" wide x 1" high...the material is red acetate...same as the windows...yes...that is 1/32" wide gold pinstripe tape...our friend, "PutzinVT" introduced me to it...the details are posted in the "building section" of this website...

note...i did have to make a couple of doors to get it right...especially the little panel in the center...

i wear a magnifying visor, similar to the one shown below, about 100% of the time i'm in the shop...got started wearing one when i made musical instruments...it was the only way i could measure in fractions of a millimeter...

Those magnifiers are cool! I can see how they would help!! That's really cool you can work that small, it's like those guys who put the little ships into bottles...mind boggling/blowing!! Anytime I have to work in that tight of a spot I always hold my breath....have probably come close to passing out a few times.

Actually, Brian, you did pass out and the good little elves finished it for you. Oh, wait, this isn't my Christmas stories page, is it?

Do the elves work cheap...I might be interested in hiring a few.
