Maintenance Update and Happy New Year

In case you're wondering if the Moderator actually spends time on the forums, the answer is yes. I read every message posted, though I don't always have anything intelligent to add to the conversation. Except, in many cases, "WOW"!" Some great stuff is getting posted.

I also spend 20-30 minutes a day deleting spammers BEFORE they figure out how to get their spam onto the site. So the tradeoff is that you see very few posts from me, but it's been about ten weeks since you've seen one ad here for moneymaking schemes or fake Canadian pharmaceuticals. If I was "just" a fan, I'd consider that a pretty fair tradeoff.

It's hard to believe that the site is still only about three months old!

Thank you for your diligence Paul. As one of the editors over at Everything Croton, we all know how much moderation is necessary to keep the freak-a-zoids at bay!

You've done a wonderful job, Paul, keeping the forum what it is intended to be, and I very much appreciate it. I know it takes more hours of monitoring and maintenance than I want to think about. Happy new year.
