FOUND OBJECTS

Thanks to Paul's many links on the subject of Trash-bashing--and Paul you should post some of them here--I often find myself looking at things with a different eye. Such was the case with this cap from a small bottle of Tropicana orange juice. I can't help but feel that it has "putz-abilities" either as an architectural element or a "stand" for some vintage object--once textured or glittered. Anyway I am posting the pix in case you are similarly inspired. I have been saving these for some time and a future project still to be determined.

Maria...

interesting that you should post this way of looking at ordinary objects from a different view...quite a while back...on a "war game" site...(note--I'm not a "war game" player...but I do follow a few sites because their building methods are similar to those of little houses and model railroad scenery)...

a similar lid was used as part of a castle tower!...the finished project was spectacular...if I can find the link I will post...

Howard...

You discovered my secret! I have been saving similar Dole pineapple jug lids with the exact same thoughts. Here is my stash so far, topped by (I think) a small Avon Christmas tree bottle.

Try this trick with eight cats in YOUR house!

Oh my, how timely is our find. CNN has an article on the return of Brutalist architecture and features this Tehran City Theatre. Our bottle tops are too small to create anything on the scale of this structure, but it is an inspiring style.
