Greetings to all…

Here’s another “flattie” project I’m working on…the inspiration image was sent to me by a longtime e-friend and forum member…(again, many thanks!)… :D

The copyright for the original Christmas card expired years ago…but I won’t post the digitally enhanced version of it…I’m honoring the on-line seller’s request not to share their images…

I’ll let the pattern and photos below tell the story for now…all I can say is that the finished piece is “very colorful”…hope to post a picture of it later this week…

Note…if “flatties” are new to you…go here…

My very best regards…

Howard…

This looks like a real fun one to build Howard! Do you just use card stock for the layouts? I think I would need some magnifiers and a real sharp blade for these!

This set of flatties is really spectacular. I am eagerly awaiting the finished product like everyone else. It's wonderful.

Oh, yes...a sharp Xacto knife and a magnifying visor are a must...there is no cardstock...what may look like cardstock is the paper the pattern was printed on...the main part of the piece is two layers of heavy duty, premium quality poster board laminated together with Aleene's craft glue...

greetings to all...

i said it would be "very colorful!"...:D...

what a change two coats of white primer, craft paint, a few pencil lines, high-gloss clear polyacrylic, white glue and glass glitter can do to white poster board....

my very best regards...

FANTASTIC work Howard! Love every single element of it. Ya know, I haven't tried to build one of your flatties yet. This one is a winner. I just gotta do it!

I love this Howard! Attaching a pic of my version. Gel pens are a bit more glitzy than what I would normally choose in terms of color, but lots of fun to work with!

Great job Barb! It looks as if it "jumped" right off of the Christmas card itself!

Barb...

"Bravo!"...the colors are perfect...and so are all the little details...

I've seen the vintage Chrismas card image...and I totally agree with Will!...
