Metallic Manor Halloween house

Post by Lucy »

I made this house using metallic duct tape on cardstock. I used the Village dwelling die and the Village Manor to make this. It was a relatively quick build for my Halloween village for Habitat. I'm getting to the end of the Halloween season. It's almost time to start selling them. I promised 2 people special houses so that will be what I work on next.

Ya'll take care.
Lucy

P.S. How are you, Howard? I hope it's getting back to normal now.

Lucy...

Extremely creative use of a rather ordinary material...i've seen it for sale...but would never have thought to use it like you did...

Lucy...thanks for asking...Old Howard survived the hurricane far, far better than most...we lost power for only about a day and a half...home phone and Internet was out until Saturday evening if I recall correctly...we had insignificant privacy fence damage and a yard littered with leaves and small limbs...

Hope to be back in the swing of making some houses soon...I've got a large project in the planning stage...more about it later...

Lucy,
I love this house! It looks like you used flattened tin cans to build it.

Howard,
I'm so glad to hear that you are OK. I survived Harvey in Houston with no water in my house. I was an island in an ocean as I was surrounded by water. They were doing water rescues two streets over from me.

Thank you, everybody. The metallic duct tape is what I make the rusted tin roofs with. I'd just never used it as siding before.

I am so glad that Howard and Lee survived the hurricanes relatively unscathed. I'm in upstate SC and the wind from Irma broke off 1/2 of my neighbor's oak tree which crashed into my yard and crunched my picket fence. BUT I got lucky that it missed my house and my tomato plants and blueberry plants.

I look forward to Howard's new project. I will be done with Halloween pretty soon so I can make some Christmas houses. I want to make the fireplace with the mini-houses on top. I love that Howard and Lynn collaboration.

Did I say on your blog that this house is amazing? if not, "this house is amazing!"
