I believe papated had one of these featured somewhere on his site and it went for a lot of money--somewhere in the range shown. I just can't recall where on his site it was.

As for the price being "realistic", couldn't say myself.

You'll find the "High School" building on Ted's Site under Categories, the 30's, "clock houses". I don't recall seeing one on his site that had a price attributed to it (but don't quote me) but it is a fairly "rare" building, as they go. Still, that price seems steep... and if you notice the lister had it out there for a day or two with a reserve price, then withdrew the listing (obviously discovering what they had) and listed again for the buy it now price. I got one of these on ebay for no money...it was pretty beat up and almost unrecognizable... but thanks to Pete and his coconut it looks great now.

Um... ok, I am wrong. There IS one on the "online auction prices" section on Ted's site that went for $457 ish some years ago....

I'll second Barb's comment on Pete's coconut. Great for restoration work with spectacular results!!

FINALLY I KNOW WHAT YOU'ALL'S TALKIN ABOUT! Barbs Clue led me to the "City Hall" building with clock tower. Yes it is pricy but $250 might be high but not TOO high if you want it and have the money. The problem with paying high prices is if you ever need to "de-access" some of them you very likely won't get your money back. I have seen some sellers that back in the day when you could see trading names were REALLY paying top dollar for things they have recently been trying to get rid of and have to keep reducing their prices or start them very low in which case they increase the chances of loosing big time. (a pet peeve of mine are all the links posted that have bit the dust)

True on both counts, Tom. Folks who drove the price up in the first place are the first to complain when they can't recoup their "investment." Also eBay has started taking down photos of old listings, so just posting the link doesn't help much for future reference. I don't know if it's technically legal to snag at last one photo from the listing, but otherwise that visual information is "time-stamped" and will disappear forever at some point in the future.
