Little Red Schoolhouse

Post by Lucy »

I just finished this little schoolhouse and pattern. I had a lot of fun making this one. The red is a much bolder color than I usually use. To give more dimension, I primed the house black before adding the red siding.

I wrote a pretty detailed tutorial and even made a video of how I made the schoolhouse. You can find that on my blog - https://paperglitterglue.com/little-red ... per-house/

I love, the colors are perfect!!

Is there both cardboard and wood in this project?

Only cardboard. If you knock on my little houses, they sound like wood, but they are all cardboard. The fence is made using a Sizzix die and 3-4 layers of cardboard. This house is going to a friend who has a 2 year old so I wanted it to be very sturdy.

I am flattered that you think there might be some wood in it. Thank you. Lucy

Just now getting in to take a close look. VERY nice. And, yes, I thought you used strips of wood, too.
