Finished the Laura series

There are 8 "Laura" houses (based on the Little House series of books) and I've just finished the last of them. Some you've seen on this post before, but here at all eight in one photo (but not in chronological order). From left to right, top row: log cabin in the Big Woods, barn from Farmer Boy, surveyor's house in Silver Lake. Middle row: train station in Plum Creek, Pa's Store from the Big Winter. Bottom row: the house that Pa built from new boards in Plum Creek, the white schoolhouse where Laura taught in the last book, and the tar-paper-and-lath claim shanty from Silver Lake. Whew! On to new projects.

Yes, Howard, that's a hardware cloth fence on the white school--thanks to you. I love how you've used a variety of materials, and I keep my eyes out for different things to try. I grab up clippings from several rosemary shrubs we have in the yard whenever my husband decides they need trimming--they make wonderful fences, posts, and tree trunks for luffa trees, are long enough for a number of uses and can be cut down easily. And they smell wonderful while you're working on them.

I just got a chance to look at these again. Fantastic! Like Maria I love the station, but I love the rest of them too.
