Some Pastel Haciendas

Here are a couple of haciendas in pastel dress. The one on the left Pretty in Pink is a standard sized house and the second house is a large one in the nineteen thirties colors of cheddar and lime green. The house on the right needed a total restoration of the base. These have an Oval mark as do a number of the pastels haciendas. It isn't exactly the only mark on these but they seemed to make the majority of them. The figure is an original. I invite anyone to add there own Pastel Hacienda to this stream.

LOVE the "cheddar" house. It is festive for sure. What is the material of the round window?

The round window is just aluminum foil. I have one house with purple foil and it is original.

Another Large Pastel hacienda. Pretty in pink. The architecture is sort of interesting especially the wavy border under the eaves of the house and is related to the fence - both with the boarder and color. Nice pink sandy with coconut on the roof again. This is fequently found in the pastel haciendas so we know it was available but the Hacienda were a choice not because the material wasn't available. The chimney has remains of coconut on it as well. The pink seems to have shell in it. It measures 6 1/2" x 3 3/4" and 5" high.

I just ran into this post from the past. I like to refer to this style of putz house as "THE SANDIES" Basically because the structures are coated with a heavy, colored SAND. And as most of you have noted these are related to the HACIENDA FAMILY. So far I've noticed that these come in 4 different sizes.

Lots of structural interest here, Pete. Lovely examples, despite few figures or trees. Thanks for sharing.
