A printie balcony & Blue Green windows

I was needing to rehab a small all coconut early chalet styled house and it had a balcony piece that was a printed design and I needed a balcony on another house I had restored already.
The chalet needed to have a corner of the roof replaced (I used some Durham's powdered putty to fill in the miss-matched patch and sanded it). Additionally the original blue green windows were all pretty well shattered and needed replacement.

I popped off the cardboard balcony which was a strip of printed cardboard glued to a small block of wood. I scanned it and printed it off from the original and because it is an ink jet printer I used some green & yellow pencils to enhance the color some. I cut out the appropriate sized block of wood from a piece of balsa and glued the paper to some cardboard and glued the pieces to the restored printie house.

The little Chalet used a dark blue green cellophane and so I used some Liquetex gloss medium to stick the green and blue cellophane together and cut and pasted them to the inside. The last photo shows the completed buildings and the Chalet is sporting all new fresh coconut from Pete Oehman. Nice pieces now.

Looks great, Tom. Love the printie. Can't help but ask: is the door part of the printie or is is glued on or in?

The door of the printie is a new one and it is glued in. (light shines through) That is the original blue doorway not the black surround one sees when they are pasted on. Haciendas frequently have a pasted on door when it is behind one of their fence entrances.
