good evening from a rather cold north florida...cold for us anyway... really didn't get out of the high 40s today...

i've made several of the "three peak house" before...this is my favorite color combo for the little fellow...pink, blue and gray...still have to paint the snow detail on the roof...i did do something a little different on this one...it's made entirely of ordinary cereal box cardboard...it will be covered with mica flakes only...no glitter...

the "castle-look house" was inspired by the "orange house" which brian posted on the forum a short while back...my copy is a little different...i went with a canopy entry with scallops and single-fact trim...still have to finish painting this one as well...may use only mica flakes...no glitter...

Very nice Howard!! I have always loved the three peaks, it was one of the first houses I made. Here in RI we started our day at zero degrees with lots of snow we had between Thursday and Friday!!

the little guys are finished...i did go with all mica flakes...which i ran through a flower sifter first to make the flakes smaller...no glitter finish this time...i do like the vintage look of mica...still not sure if i will add a touch of snow-tex to the white snow details...but probably won't...

the orange house is not quite as brilliant as the photo shows...the canopy does not show well in the photo either...the gray house is actually more colorful than the photo...

base size...3 1/2" x 4 1/4" x 5/8" high...orange house is 3 1/2" tall including base...gray house is 4 1/4" tall including base...

I have it sitting on the table right now and have not used it all up but am starting to make a dent in it
I have thought about tossing some into a little coffee grinder but have not yet resorted to that. I like putting it on the ground in a scene it adds a fluffy look unlike any other.
