Dolly divorced from her base?

Definitely Dolly. Looks like its lost it's base. Whatcha think?

I am just beging to work on one I uploaded the picture a few weeks back it was red with glass glitter. Brian was kind enough to send some very good dementions and some windows. I will share some pics when I get going. I am not sure about the base my may be "divorced" as well.

Actually if you look closely this one has been cut down but the effect and damage is the same. Unfortunately the bases on the larger Dolly's were quite fancy and often the fence clips would fail and flatten the fence. Hence they would get damaged and fall off and the base would be trimmed. These are from the WWII era and were NOT made of the best card or paper. Most of the paper from the WWII era is essentially self destructing often much worse than things printed decades earlier. It had to do with essential war material that was with held for "the duration".
