PARCHMENT PAPER FOR WINDOWS

I wish I had my camera at the time but I didn't--I went to a tag sale recently and a woman had these handmade cardboard Halloween houses for sale--they were not to my taste--frankly, a little too macabre--but I was drawn to the material she used for the windows--which had a very warm glow and asked her about it.

She said she used parchment paper--the kind you buy by the roll for baking purposes--and had sandwiched the paper between satin finished scotch tape for strength--

Very effective

Interesting. Did it look translucent?

It had more of an "opaque warmth"

Time to raid the kitchen pantry, grab a piece and hold it up to the light!

I bought some at the Dollar Tree here for $1. Yes, it DOES shine through nicely! :)
