Wow Howard, as I was scrolling through past posts here, I just saw this! It's really "Halloweeny" my friend! I love those columns and especially the bobby pin fence! How did you "fuse" the wires together BTW? Gotta check out the $1 store for some figures now... ;)

Good afternoon...

Will...The upright bobby pins have heavy black thread woven horizontally between them...I brushed on a coat of white glue and then painted with black craft paint...the glue and black paint make them look like welded iron fence...

BurghGal...The piece is packed away right now...I'll unpack later this weekend and post the dimensions and a few other photos...

BurghGal...here is a simple drawing with dimensions for the major parts...you can adjust, change, etc to fit your needs and space...here's a closeup of the base, too...hope this all helps...let me know if you need any other info...whoops...excuse the typos in the file name...must be a halloween hex the witch put on me...

Wonderful! Thanks for sharing the specs... Mr. Howard, question: Where on earth do you get those kind of hairpins anymore? I know my Mom used to use them back in the 1960/70's. Haven't seen them since!

Will...

the hair pins (in several different sizes) are available at stores that specialize in ethnic hair products...that's where I found mine...you might be able to find them at Walmart...

An option is to use jumbo size paper clips...
