Hello:
I see these come up on Ebay once in awhile.
Can anyone tell me about the history on them.
Since there is plastic figures on them, I figure, 50's or 60's?

I don't any history but I do have 2 of these ornaments. I have seen them listed as Shiny Brite ornaments and they come in a box of four. An angel, a raindeer, santa with a sleigh and raindeer and the last one is just santa with a walking stick. They have a round gold seal with Made in Japan with PAT in the center. I'm not sure about the date.

Lynn's info is right on the money--they were produced, so I was told in the mid to late 50's with some in the early 60's as well.

Yes, Lynn is correct.
You see a similar set of houses that are all glitter, but in dark colors (blue, magenta /red, green, silver) and they came in a box of 6. Similar size to these.

Bethany Lowe was making copies of these--right down to the box--some years ago
