Post subject:	Making a "Gazebo"...
greetings to all... something every little village needs...a gazebo... the cutout body, a card stock template (to speed transferring the layout lines to cardboard) and the assembled body are shown below... the body was cut out of two layers of heavy duty poster board laminated together with craft glue...it's the same material i'm using for "flatties"...it's sturdy, cuts crisply and takes craft paint very nicely... patterns for the body, roof, steps, handrails and base later this week... guess i'll be forced to make a few more "flatties" to go along with the gazebo as well!... my very best regards...howard... good morning... the picture below shows the base, stair railings and single-face cardboard steps...and how the pieces fit on the body... see the PDF for the patterns...please note...i had to make a couple of each of the following pieces to get the best fit...hexagonal laminated corrugated base (floor inside the walls), hand rails, steps and hexagonal cardboard base (with extension on one side for stair railings)... i may add a few trim details before this piece goes to the paint shop...more pictures and details later... my very best regards... howard... good morning... this little project is finished...it's the perfect size to go with the "pack-o-fun" houses i've made, too...i can see it in a park setting with an oval glass mirror ice skating pond... the final finish is glitter and mica flakes over primer and craft paint...usual snow-tex highlight on roof...the finial is a small round head straight pin, a small bead and a tiny disk of card stock assembled with epoxy cement and finished with gold paint... now...on to other projects...probably going to be two more "flatties"...perhaps a couple snow skiing...details later... my very best regards to all... howard... Howard this is going to be a great addition to the Pack-O-Fun village, I hope we see a picture. Very ingenious way to make the finial!
