I found the pic of my reproduction of this church in the original thread. This one has my hand drawn windows; I'm anxious to download the new set you posted here. Thanks Lynn and Howard.

Laurie...

Like i mentioned to Will...I really need to go back and visit all the dolly houses and churches that have been posted...

And please...Laurie...continue to post and share any dolly houses that you've built...

Your church certainly is a perfect reproduction!...it shouts "vintage"...

I love these Dolly churches. I really appreciate all the work that has gone into making patterns for everybody to follow.

good afternoon to all...

another "dolly" reproduction is done...i used the extra-fine colored glitter from walmart that i used on all the other "dolly" houses...what i thought was purple is actually more of a plum...but it goes well with the pink and white...

the finished height is just a little over 7" including the base...

my very best regards...howard...

It's "plum" beautiful. The flattie in front is perfect for your church.

It's beautiful Howard! I love the color combination. I just cut out the pattern for this today and am excited to give it a try. Thanks for creating/sharing the pattern!

Here's my dolly church, i used mica flakes similar to the original. I am thinking of using the traditional bases for future Dollys.

Lynn,
I love your church. The mica works so well with it. What do you mean by using the traditional bases for your future dolly houses?

Hi Lucy, if you take a look at the original picture Howard posted you will see the church with what I refer to as a traditional base. These bases are one piece cut with a fence, and there is no bottom. When scored and folded the fence and gate stands up. I have attached 2 pictures of a base I made. The first is how I cut it out and the second is folded but not glued together. The first set I reproduced only had the simple flat piece of cardboard. I am not sure if one style came before the other or maybe there was just 2 different bases they used, maybe someone can help with this question.

That is impressive cutting. I do recall seeing this base before now that you mention it. It's an ingenious design, isn't it?
