I found the pic of my reproduction of this church in the original thread. This one has my hand drawn windows; I'm anxious to download the new set you posted here. Thanks Lynn and Howard.

good afternoon to all... another "dolly" reproduction is done...i used the extra-fine colored glitter from walmart that i used on all the other "dolly" houses...what i thought was purple is actually more of a plum...but it goes well with the pink and white... the finished height is just a little over 7" including the base... my very best regards...howard...

Here's my dolly church, i used mica flakes similar to the original. I am thinking of using the traditional bases for future Dollys.

Hi Lucy, if you take a look at the original picture Howard posted you will see the church with what I refer to as a traditional base. These bases are one piece cut with a fence, and there is no bottom. When scored and folded the fence and gate stands up. I have attached 2 pictures of a base I made. The first is how I cut it out and the second is folded but not glued together. The first set I reproduced only had the simple flat piece of cardboard. I am not sure if one style came before the other or maybe there was just 2 different bases they used, maybe someone can help with this question.

That is impressive cutting. I do recall seeing this base before now that you mention it. It's an ingenious design, isn't it? |
