I can see why you like it's perfect. I would never have thought to use this paint !

update...10/20...

working on the "diamond pane windows"...(not sure what the exact architectural name is)...i'm using red vellum paper and a black pen to draw the mullions...

the cardboard tube is the window insert for the round tower...i've already tested...the windows line up with the openings in the tower...windows for the square tower and the walls of the house are done in a similar way...

Ingenious idea Howard! I gotta find out where to get "red" vellum!

Well, that is a great idea. I think you would have to fiddle for hours trying to glue the windows in otherwise. Wonderful design tip. AGAIN. Thank you.

Oh, are they called leaded glass windows?

I've seen them called diamond mullions or tudor style mullions. Whatever you call 'em, Howard's look great!

Anti skid paint - who would have thought? The windows are looking great and I love the idea of using the tube as an insert. It is fun watching the progress on this project.

PS - Will, Hobby Lobby has red vellum.

update...10/25...

finished the tunnel portion of the project...

the colors you see (over the gray anti-skit textured paint) are as follows: medium tan...chestnut brown...brown...christmas green...spring green...i also darkened the christmas green with a wee bit of black in a few places...the entire inside of the tunnel is painted black...

after all the different colors were blended, swirled, stippled and dry brushed, i used a craft store atomizer spray bottle filled with a mixture of water and black craft paint as a glaze...some areas received more glaze than others...it's not an exact science...it just happens...(right, Lucy? ;) )

i also used a piece of medium grit sandpaper and wore away some of the gray on the portal bricks to reveal the tops of the grit in the anit-skid paint and the first coat of white primer...

still doing the tedious painting on the other parts...

my very best regards...

howard...
