With all of the family rushing home to Putztown for Christmas, won't you be glad to have a local airport? Vintage toy airplanes come in all shapes and sizes and are sure to be in a holding pattern until you finish this fine facility for them to land.
I saw this expensive old toy airport playset and had to share. The shapes are simple and would be easy to recreate with cardboard. Box art shows some nice variations and the simple graphics on the building are wonderful. It seems amazing that toys like this were once made in America with such quality and labor intensity.

Re: Every Putztown needs...an airport!
It has a sort of Art Deco vibe, doesn't it?
Re: Every Putztown needs...an airport!
Ooohhhh I can see this in white with blue windows and silver accents!
Re: Every Putztown needs...an airport!
Very "ART DECO" to be sure...and modular, too!...it reminds me so much of the Marx lithographed tin ones way back in the dark ages...
howard...

So wonderful! here's another for inspiration--
"City Airport", 1930s, Marx, and a vintage---DC-3 Tootsietoy plane have been added (not original to set), A scarce, great-looking toy that was featured at a toy auction house in our area called SeriousToyz some years back.
